Hard to believe that Pennsylvania Chautauqua’s Summer Programs is 133 years young this year. We have an exciting and jam-packed summer planned, featuring over 100 distinct programs.
Chautauqua Summer Programs, a committee of the Chautauqua Board of Managers, starts work soon after the summer season ends to source new speakers and exciting topics.
Think of the summer as a liberal arts college all packed into ten weeks. We offer lectures on the arts, religion, history, science, music, poetry and literature, as well as children’s programs, crafts, cuisine classes, yoga and movie nights.
A full description of each program and registration information will be available in the Summer Programs and Arts Council booklets available later this spring. If you want to get a jump start, you can see a preview available on the mtgretna.org calendar. Just click “Chautauqua Summer Programs” to see the offerings.
Programs are funded through donors who make tax-deductible contributions to the Stewart Society through the Chautauqua Foundation. The Foundation supports initiatives of the Chautauqua. Every year, we raise funds to cover speaker and program costs. Membership is $60 per person. Specific program and season sponsorships are also available. We could not do this without our community’s continued generous support. A Stewart Society donation form as well as a donation button is available on our website—pachautauqua.info—by clicking on Summer Programs.
If you join before May 31st , you are welcome to join us on June 7th for a fun filled evening of delicious wine, food and company to help us kick off the season.
